AHOY ME LITTLE HEARTIES!

The HMS Buffalo is moored in the Patawolonga in Glenelg.  It is an exact replica of the vessel that bought free settlers to South Australia in 1836- a perfect way to explore some local history. Families are especially catered for with their own dining area complete with a children’s play area called ‘Buzby’s Brig’.

The kids thought the boat was “awesome” and were so excited to be on a “real pirate ship”! The cannons on the deck were very exciting and kept them amused for ages.  And if that is not enough to keep the kiddies happy then there is a huge box of dress ups and toys and tubs of pencils and colouring in sheets.

The menu is full of seafood, which includes; prawn cocktail, scallops, squid, oysters, whiting, salmon, fisherman’s platter.  There are also other choices such as steak and pasta.  The kid’s menu is $12.00 and includes a drink and serve of ice cream.  They can choose from; a pirate burger and chips, butterfish and chips, calamari and chips or fish fingers and chips.  For dessert there is a buffalo boat which is a milk chocolate boat with white chocolate
sails, set on a blue sea.

The Buffalo Family Restaurant provides a great venue for family and welcomes little ones with open arms.  There is so much to keep the kids amused and there is also a huge park right next to the boat with a playground and plenty of space to run around.
