Captain Butlers Cafe is a fantastic place for parents to go with their kids and an ideal place for mothers groups to meet. It is very big and spacious, with plenty of room for prams. There are lots of tables and chairs and two groups of comfy couches.

Each morning at 10.15am movement and music or storytime and activity sessions are held in a separate room. These are FREE! Spaces are limited so bookings are required.

There are two play areas, one aimed at babies to pre walkers and the other more suitable for older toddlers and children. The baby area has lots of toys scattered around. The other area has a slide and climbing forte, a tunnel, dress ups, play kitchen, table and chairs, dolls house with furnishings, dolls strollers and toys.

The menu provides fun healthy choices for the kids, and delicious ‘homestyle’ food for the adults. Kids meals include: kids croissants, mini muffins, 100’s & 1000’s sandwiches, sandwiches cut into shapes, fritz with carrot and celery sticks and a Le snack, mini quiche with carrot and celery sticks, mini frankfurts & sauce. These are very affordable, with most around $2-$3.

The coffee shop is staffed by a group of volunteers that attend the ‘Chapel on the Boulevard’ church . Their hope is that they can connect with the young families in their community to provide support & encouragement as they are doing the busy job of raising their ‘little ones’.

Note that they are closed over school holiday periods.
