Moore and Moore is a great child friendly café located in the historic Moores Building in Fremantle. Moore and Moore is not just a café, it’s a contemporary art gallery as well, showcasing all styles of art from paintings and drawings to junk installations and videos. If you enjoy art and good food, you should definitely take a ride to Freo to check out this funky café.

The café and adjoining art gallery have a very relaxed and friendly vibe. The inside is filled with comfy couches, chairs, and coffee tables. Tables and chairs are out back on the covered courtyard. The menu is written on large chalkboards surrounding the counter, and there is also a display case full of sweet and savoury goodies. Moore and Moore has a breakfast and “anytime” menu, as well as daily specials. I enjoyed a mushroom and brie panini, and would definitely order it again when I go back. There is a large selection of beverages, including coffee, tea, and fresh pressed juices. The strawberry-watermelon juice is delicious! Babycinos are $1.50, and while they don’t have a formal kids menu, they will make a half portion of some of the menu items if you ask.

In addition to good art and good food, Moore and Moore has a great little kiddie corner. The kids corner is covered with Astro Turf and closed off by a low fence that is perfect for keeping crawling babies contained. For bigger kids, there is a toy box and a mini golf hole and putter. The café has plenty of room for prams and highchairs and would be a great place for a mother’s group to meet up.
