InterContinental Adelaide

Whether you are local, from out of town or interstate the InterContinental Adelaide is the ultimate place to stay in Adelaide.

Located in the heart of Adelaide CBD, right by the Torrens River the InterContinental is the perfect starting place to discover all that Adelaide has to offer. Stroll across the footbridge to catch some footy or cricket at Adelaide Oval or tennis at Memorial Drive. Visit the Pandas and many other animals at the Adelaide Zoo. Discover all the hidden excitement and wonder of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens.  Do some shopping in Rundle Mall.  Check out the latest exhibitions at the Art Gallery of South Australia – there’s currently a great ‘Fashion Icons’ exhibition. All these fabulous attractions are within a short walk of InterContinental Adelaide. It really is a perfect location.

The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed with all the features you would expect from a 5 star Hotel. The marble bathrooms are large and luxurious and each feature a full sized bath tub perfect for the younger members of the family. Rooms vary in size depending on your needs and portacots can be supplied by the hotel. I was impressed to find our portacot set up and made with quality bed linen and looking very welcoming for Miss 2.

The InterContinental also offers a gymnasium and a swimming pool complete with a number of sun lounges – I enjoyed relaxing on one of these whilst the kids enjoyed the swimming pool.

Breakfast and dinner are served daily in the Riverside Restaurant. Breakfast is buffet style and offers everything you could possibly want for breakfast plus a number of items you probably didn’t know you wanted! High chairs are available and there is a good range of cereals, fruits and yoghurts to satisfy even the youngest members of the family. Adults and older children can indulge on everything from bacon and eggs, to gourmet bakery items and pancakes are made freshly upon request. If the extensive range of food and fresh juices was not enough, my kids were also thrilled to have a baby cino with their breakfast.
Dinner is also served in the Riverside Restaurant and you can read my dining review here.

InterContinental Adelaide offers rooms or suites to suit your needs and they have a range of package options available including a great family package that includes overnight accommodation, buffet breakfast and a family Zoo pass. Check out their other packages here.

The InterContintal Adelaide is welcoming and accommodating of children, yet it still has a level of elegance and class that you would expect from a luxury hotel. A great place to enjoy the finer things in life with or without the kids.
